your pig every month or at least once every three months.
Place your guinea pig in a flat-bottomed bowl or sink, lined with a towel to stop him slipping. To this add a couple of inches of warm water. I place the bowl on a large towel in my bath so that (a) I can use the shower attachment and (b) I feel happier knowing my piggies cannot fall off a work surface – a wet, often unhappy pig, is a very slippery little thing! One word of warning, you will get wet! You can buy shampoos formulated for guinea pigs and rabbits; there are a number to choose from.
