Small Animal Boarding - Terms and Conditions
Our
opening times are strictly by appointment. If for some reason, beyond your
control, you cannot keep your appointment time please call us immediately on
01622 872892 or 0794 1177150.
All pets should arrive in a secure pet carrier.
We offer a collection and drop off facility, please contact us for more details.
Holiday Hutches will provide your pet with appropriate, clean living accommodation, access to outside runs, weather permitting, fresh and dry food and water daily and a home from home atmosphere.
At the time of booking your pets holiday accommodation, a non-returnable holding deposit of £5.00 (per hutch reserved) is payable. Full settlement of the outstanding account must be made on the day of arrival.
If any pet shows signs of disease, illness, injury or pregnancy Holiday Hutches reserves the right not to accept the pet. Please notify us in writing of any non-contagious existing medical conditions at the time of booking.
Should
your pet become ill during its stay at Holiday Hutches, or if we are concerned
about the general health of the animal, we reserve the right to seek advice from
our vet. You must pay for any vet fees incurred whilst your animal is in our
care, on collection of your pet.
Whilst at Holiday Hutches your pet will be fed a well balanced diet and housed in safe and sheltered accommodation. We cannot, therefore, be held responsible for any illnesses such as Myxomatosis, Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD), fly strike, diarrhoea, colds, mites or any other common diseases. Your pet will not mix with any other boarders whilst in our care, except for their own cage mate, should they have one. We take every step possible to avoid animals becoming victims of fly strike, hutches are cleaned regularly and pets checked daily. Flies are not choosy creatures and as we consider our premises to be kept to the highest standard of cleanliness, we cannot be held responsible should your animal becoming a victim of fly strike. To this end, we will not accept any rabbit that has a dirty bottom on arrival at Holiday Hutches. Please ensure that your rabbit is clean and treated with Rearguard or similar before arrival
All rabbits should be vaccinated against Myxomatosis and VHD, please bring your vaccination card with you.
In the event of non-collection or if we are unable to contact you after 14 days from the arranged collection date, we reserve the right to take whatever action is deemed necessary to re-home the animal.
Unfortunately, small pets can pass away with very little warning. Here at Holiday Hutches we will do everything in our power to make your pets last hours as dignified and comfortable as possible. We are unable to keep pets that have passed away on our premises, however, all pets will be taken to our vet and you should contact them to discuss your final wishes.
You should be aware that, currently, no licensing laws or regulations exist in respect of boarding rodents and rabbits etc., and we have saught Local Authority clarification and approval on this point. All animals are left entirely at their owner’s risk.
